Celebrating 25 Years

In April we were proud to have marked the significant milestone of being 25 years in business.

In 1993 my father, Bill O’Connor, was working for a Swedish Freight forwarder which decided to downsize all overseas operations and concentrate on its home market. This decision led to my father fulfilling his ambition of setting up his own business.

It was a significant risk for my parents at the time but they were very excited about the adventure and embraced the challenge. They asked for me to join them in the business to look after the sales and marketing.

With the assistance of the Swedes, we were able to set up the business over a year and in April 1994 Allied Seafreight and General was established.

Today, after 25 years of hard work, enduring some very difficult times, including the global financial crisis, we are very proud of the business we have built.

We are thankful for the fantastic people that work with us today, and those who have done so in the past: all their hard work, dedication and loyalty is greatly appreciated and valued.

We are especially grateful for the long term partnerships with our clients, some of which have been with us for the 25 years. Our commitment to quality service and relationships with our clients have been our core focus. We pride ourselves on being part of their business and the success of our clients has a direct result on our growth.

We look forward to the next 25 years.
