Allied Seafreight was founded by Bill O’Connor in 1994. His vision was for Allied Seafreight to be a locally-based business for importers and exporters seeking a personalised service that comes with dealing with a family-owned company.
Since that time, the business has grown but we’ve never lost sight of our values.
Today, the business is led by Janice O’Connor, Bill’s daughter, and the Allied Seafreight family includes all our staff and clients.
We are proud to say that some staff and clients have been with us for almost our entire journey. Irrespective, however, of the length of time we’ve been working together, all our relationships are based on trust: we do what we say we will do and always treat your goods as if they were our own.
We have two modern, purpose-built facilities with over 15,000 m2 of warehousing and 7,000 m2 of hardstand. Both facilities are conveniently located near to Melbourne’s wharf and shipping terminals and are Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) approved, food grade accredited and under 24/7 security monitoring.
Offering our clients seamless logistic solutions allows our clients to focus on their core business. We offer container cartage, warehousing and distribution, backed up by safe and reliable systems to manage and track your goods. We will seek to add additional value by customising solutions that best meet your needs, whether that’s placing one of our staff in your business, offering multiple cross-dock capabilities or managing your entire supply chain.
We think of ourselves as your partner: offering a tailored, reliable, quality service based on knowing your business.
